the simple settings have actually stuck in my head! so importantly I
have had good success since in being able to replicate the type of
shots we covered.
ANTHONY SAID: Just a quick note to say I really enjoyed the
course and got a lot out of it. I will certainly be looking at more
courses in the future. If any of you out there are considering a course
I would highly recommend Damiens – I have a stack of high quality shots
for my portfolio as a result and the confidence to go and quickly get
more shots that are going to be right in the camera straight away.
GWYN SAID: I attended the Bristol Urban Portraits 8 workshop and
it was amazing! Damien really opened my eyes and my photography has
changed since that day! The best thing ever! Like Sarah… I’d offer the
same advice! If your looking into this workshop, just do it!
PAUL SAID: Great photos yet again and a real inspiration.
Shooting f/16 & f/22 in bright light with a speedlight – I’m
surprised you got a good exposure. I have always struggled in those
scenarios with my Nikon SB800, even with fully charged batteries.

my photography lept forwards with the skills you demonstrated. Really
interesting to see Marko’s post processing and how he’s brought the
colours out. …Can’t wait to get on another course.

THE LATTER! If you are serious about fashion photography this day is
for you. Damien burns for what he does, there´s a BUZZ about him and
after being with him for 5 mins you're hooked too, Great! 100% SPOT ON.

achieved with minimal lighting equipment combined with the knowkedge

NEIL SAID: I just want to add my thanks for a truly
educational, inspiring and fabulous day of photography! So many great
tips on finding shots in places you wouldn’t think possible.
RORY SAID: Great images from a great day. I have been planning a
start up business for some time and have, over the past few months or
so, spent an awful lot of money in the direction of Lovegrove
Consulting – Book, DVD’s and most recently an Urban Portrait and
Marko’s Masterclass day. There are certainly other courses and other
‘trainers’. However, what I find extremely valuable from my current
status as ‘enthusiastic beginner’ is that, both Damien and Marko
explain what they are going to do, show you how to do it, and then let
you do it yourself. Their technique is not about showing off their own
skills but allowing you to take time at your own speed and ability,
together with relatively straight forward formula’s for taking this
forward yourself when they are not around. If I may use an analogy,
it’s a bit like learning to fly a plane – all is well when the
instructer is with you but taking your first solo flight is a different
matter altogether. Luckily, Damien and Marko have ensured that I can
take off and land safely! Thank you – much appreciated.
