2-day workshop offer - £300 (+VAT):
Why not combine your Camera Skills workshop with an Editing Starterclass with Marko. These bespoke training events are ideal for beginners who want to improve their skills from concept to print. The Starterclass will take place at the Lovegrove Studio and will be from 9am-3pm. You will learn simple, effective editing techniques that will instantly improve your workflow and efficiency. The content of this day will be similar to a 'Get Effective with Photoshop' workshop that will also include workflow techniques and image processing using Adobe Lightroom.
|
On this full featured workshop Damien will impart his expert
knowledge in an easy to understand and fun to learn way. During the day
you will have a 2 hour photoshoot and you will be taking pictures of
child models (aged 9-15 years) alongside Damien. No prior knowledge is
needed for this back to basics event, just a passion to learn. You will
be shooting in the woods, under trees, by the lake and in the
ornamental garden. You will learn about light and composition as well
as a thorough grounding in the technical stuff.

Who should attend?
If
you find yourself hesitating to switch your camera's program/auto modes
or you are frustrated at your lack of foundation knowledge then this
event is for you. No one is too young or old to be a photographer.

received a stamp of approval & am now qualified to call myself,
& work as, a professional photographer."

Canon,
Nikon, Sony and Pentax shooters are catered for in this foundation
craft skill training, to put you in control of your camera and open up
greater opportunities for creating wonderful pictures. Damien's back to
basics, no nonsense approach will ensure you have the freedom to make
informed decisions about camera settings.
The
basic controls on any SLR are quite straightforward to use. Getting
your head around the relationship between shutter speed, aperture and
ISO sensitivity is the first step on the road to camera mastery. Once
Damien has explained this special relationship he will then show you
how to apply this knowledge using the camera exposure modes to achieve
the desired effect in the image.
Take a look at the type of images you'll shoot here.

What you will have at the end of the day to take away:
You
will have a set of wonderful pictures that you took on your camera and
the knowledge needed to recreate them. You will have confidence and
control of your photography. You will be able to pursue your hobby or
career with a renewed enthusiasm and passion.

What kit you will need:
1. Bring all your camera kit. The minimum requirement is one digital SLR and a zoom lens.
2. Note pad and pen.
3. Suitable clothing: We will be outside for about 2 hours, so a pair

What you will learn:
1.
You wil learn how to use your digital SLR creatively. Damien will
empower you to make informed decisions about the exposure and image
quality settings of your camera. You will learn about lenses and
perspective, f numbers, and shutter speeds, bit depth and file formats.
In fact everything you ought to know but were too afraid to ask.
2.
Damien will be covering the basic functions and foundations of camera
use that are common to all digital SLRs. It is therefore advisable to
have your camera manual with you on the day.
