Application:
Any lamp or small electrical device requiring a 12 volt ‘negative earth’ D.C supply of up to 100 watts - 7Ah battery, 150 watts - 12Ah battery, and fitted with a cigar lighter or 4 pin XLR type of plug can be operated from the power pack. Your battery may be left partly discharged for a short time but NEVER completely flat. To ignore this warning may result in the need for a new battery. Sealed lead acid batteries must be kept in a charged state and never left to discharge completely. When the light starts to go dim, switch it off. If the battery is left to fully discharge by accident it probably won’t be recoverable. All battery packs supplied by Lovegrove Consulting have user replaceable cells.

Charging using the Ctek charger - Available here
1. Connect the charger to the pack using the lead supplied.
2. Leave the charger connected until use.
3. The Ctek charger will keep your battery pack in optimum readiness.

Charging in vehicle using the optional lead:
Lovegrove power packs are 12 Volt DC and are wired ‘negative earth’. Before using this charging method ensure that the vehicle is also ‘negative earth’. Nearly all cars made since 1969 are negative earth. If you are not sure, consult your car's manual or seek professional advice.

1. Insert the car accessory-plug, or XLR plug into the battery flying lead.
2. Connect the other end of the charging lead into a suitable point in the vehicle’s electrical system (usually via a cigar-lighting socket).
3. The recharging time will depend on the condition of both the vehicle and the lamp batteries. The pack can remain permanently connected when using this method.
4. Most vehicle accessory sockets are disconnected via an in-line relay with the ignition switched off so the battery will only charge with the engine running.
